Your Instructor
Dr. Amina Gilyard James, is an engaging speaker, author, consultant, and Founder of INFLUENCE|OD. She has more than a decade of experience working in nonprofit and government organizations. Amina has an immense passion for helping organizations develop aspiring leaders, create sustainable diversity management strategies, and design exceptional learning experiences. Amina also hosts the Conference Room C podcast and runs a successful real estate investment company.
Amina has been recognized by the Washington Wizards as an Outstanding Community Leader and awarded the 40 under 40 award by the Leadership Center for Excellence. She earned a doctorate in Human and Organizational Learning from The George Washington University. Amina's dissertation research explored women's professional identity construction processes. She is also a Gallup-certified CliftonStrengths Coach, and a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES).
